His love of racing began in 1st grade when some kid brought very large trophies to school for show and tell. Hunter had to have one. So that year Santa brought home his 1st BMX bike. It took 4 months for Hunter to go from Novice to Expert with taking six 1st place wins to get to Intermediate and twenty-five 1st place wins to go Expert.
Between the years of 2001 and 2005 Hunter traveled to over ten different states for Nationals, numerous local and state championships and now has over one hundred of those very large trophies and rode the #1 plate for 3 years in his classes.
In 2004 thoughts of going to Motocross started to enter our minds. When looking into other avenues of racing Danny (Hunter’s Father) found an organization called AZPRA which promoted pocket bike racing. With all the other kids going to Motocross, and Hunter always wanting to be different ,decided that road racing was what he wanted to try. So for his 9th birthday Hunter got his 1st pocket bike which was a DM 4.2.
After hitting many parking lots and races at the Bonduraunt , Hunter decided to give up BMX and focus on road racing only.
Between the organizations of AZPRA, USMGP and SC MINIGP, and riding many different pocket bikes, motards, Metrakits and RS’s, Hunter has won many races and championships . After 4 years of racing Mini’s and with two races to go for the 2009 season, Hunter has climbed to the top of his game on his RS 150R.
With this season being the last of the mini’s, Hunter will be riding the 125 circuit next year. His hopes and dreams are to someday make it to Moto GP.
